South Central Human Service Center's Advisory Group Meeting

BISMARCK, N.D. (Heather Stefl) – The advisory group for the North Dakota Department of Human Services’ South Central Regional Human Service Center (SCHSC) in Jamestown will meet on Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. in room 126 at the center located at 520 Third St. N.W.

The advisory group’s chairperson will report on council appointments and the election of officers. Members will share announcements, discuss local needs and may also make recommendations about the planning, funding and array of services in the region.

The agenda also includes updates on general center operations, including a staffing update, and the Life Skills and Transition Center and State Hospital.

SCHSC psychologist Stacey Hunt will give a presentation on psychological evaluations, and SCHSC Director Dan Cramer will review the recovery management model of providing services.

Advisory group members include representatives of Barnes, Dickey, Foster, Griggs, LaMoure, Logan, McIntosh, Stutsman and Wells counties.

SCHSC served about 2,315 people during the 2016 State Fiscal Year in the nine-county region, and employs about 80 individuals. Staff members provide behavioral health services, disability services, and other human services directly or in partnerships with county social services and other agencies.
