GLENFIELD, ND – Two Minnesota men are hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash in Griggs County.
The Highway Patrol says 47-year-old Stephen Koch, of Slayton, MN, was eastbound on Highway 200, five miles east of Glenfield, in route to Cooperstown.
At 4:44 Wednesday afternoon, the Dodge pickup driven by Koch failed to negotiate a curve, entered the south ditch, struck an approach, vaulted into the south ditch and rolled several times.
Koch and his passenger, 47-year-old Edward Leonard of Tracy, MN, were transported to the Cooperstown Medical Center and then to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo for serious injuries.
Patrol Sgt. Luke Hendrickson says alcohol was a factor in the crash and Koch was cited for driving under the influence. The Patrol is continuing its investigation.
