After opening for an Alabama concert, Scotty McCreery interrupted their set to present them with a plaque representing two Billion streams of their music.
Founding members, Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry seemed surprised as Teddy said, “We thought a million plays was a very big deal but two billion plays of our songs puts it over the top. We appreciate Pandora and thanks for the award.”
Scotty, a previous recipient of the Pandora Billionaire plaque, was honored to make the presentation and said he’s been a fan all of his life.
The group has been making music for over 50 years.
