Jelly Roll recorded his own version of Toby Keith’s first #1 song, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.” The track features vocals from hip-hop artist, T-Pain.  It was released a couple of hours before their Stagecoach performance on Friday as part of the Amazon Music Originals.

“Toby Keith was one of the artists that from afar, even though he would never have known it, encouraged me to do country music,” he said. All proceeds will go to the Toby Keith Foundation, which supports the health and happiness of pediatric cancer patients.

“Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” was released in 1993, when Jelly Roll was 7.
