A building was destroyed in a Jamestown fire Monday evening. The Fire Department responded to reports of flames in a garage on the 900 block of 6th Avenue Southeast around 5:30. The flames had engulfed the interior of the garage, and the 24 firefighters who responded contained the blaze but were unable to save the property. No injuries were reported and the cause remains under investigation.
