A crash near Watford City killed a woman and left a man seriously injured yesterday afternoon. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the 41-year-old woman was driving an SUV when she collided head-on with a semi while driving on Highway 85 near Fairfield. The collision ignited a fire. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the man was airlifted to a hospital in Bismarck, where he is currently being treated. The highway remained closed for nearly seven hours yesterday for clean up. The crash is under investigation.
