Troubles continue to mount for former North Dakota Senator Ray Holmberg. He had two of his awards rescinded after he pled guilty to traveling with intent to pay for sex with a minor. Holmberg will lose his Grand Forks Herald’s Person of the Year award, which he received in 2021 for helping secure more than $200 million to benefit various projects connected to Grand Forks. The Chamber is also rescinding the Henry Havig award, which is considered one of the highest honors a person from Grand Forks can receive for community service.
