According to Lieutenant Sheldon Mohr, the Jamestown Fire Department extinguished a fire at a residence in a duplex on Thursday. The call was reported as smoke in a residence at about 12:40 p.m. at 1401 7th Ave. NE.
Mohr told the Jamestown Sun that the resident came home to find smoke in the duplex. Firefighters were on scene for 50 minutes and put the fire out in the chair. The cause of the fire is undetermined but Mohr stated there was significant smoke damage in the residence and minor fire damage.
No injuries were reported.
