North Dakota’s new state leadership has been sworn in.

Governor Kelly Armstrong and Lieutenant Governor Michelle Strinden took their oaths of office on Friday, December 13 in Bismarck.  Armstrong is the 34th Governor of the Peace Garden State, replacing Doug Burgum who has been tapped by President-elect Donald Trump to serve in his administration as Interior Secretary.

Armstrong was elected with over 68% of the vote in November’s election.  He served as North Dakota’s lone U.S. House Representative for the past six years.

Armstrong said serving as the state’s governor will be, “The honor of a lifetime.”
