With a thrilling performance from senior guard Joseph (Joe) Kramlich, the Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier (EKM) Rebels beat the Linton HMB Lions on Thursday night, 57-56.
“Joe stepped up tonight. He’s put together probably about four or five really good games here for us,” EKM head coach Kevin Strobel said. “He’s got a lot of experience.”
Kramlich dropped a team high 26 points and helped facilitate a late run that put the Rebels up for good over the Lions. Senior forward Gentry Richter poured in 21 points for Linton HMB.
“It was a really good win against a really good quality opponent,” Strobel said. “Last possession, we made a good stop and that’s what it comes down to.”
Linton HMB (6-4) will be back in action when the Lions visit the Medina-Pingree-Buchanan Thunder next Monday at 7:30 p.m. EKM (7-4) will play at LaMoure/Litchville-Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
