Randall Duffy, 62, pleaded guilty Monday, January 27, in Cass County court to felony murder and domestic abuse charges in the death of Jody Campbell, 59. The murder occurred on June 8, 2024, at an apartment in Fargo, when Duffy choked Campbell until she became unresponsive. Campbell was a popular server at Blackbird Woodfire Pizza, and had a documented history of abuse from Duffy, with multiple police reports filed about their troubled relationship. Following the guilty plea, Judge Nicholas Chase revoked Duffy’s bail and ordered a probation report. Sentencing will be scheduled in approximately 90 days, with extra time allocated for multiple victim impact statements.
