The City of Fargo is looking to enhance security measures at public meetings. The news comes after a person was spotted with a knife at a city commission meeting last month.
The first of the changes will occur at Monday’s meeting. There will be a rope line to seperate members of the public from the commissioners. Commissioners are being asked to authorize the City’s Attorney’s Office and other relevant departments to develop a security policy and take all actions necessary to develop the policy.
An executive session will take place on February 18 to discuss future planning of security policies and procedures.
