A major economic report released Tuesday revealed North Dakota’s agriculture sector generates $41.3 billion annually and supports over 123,000 jobs. The study, conducted by North Dakota State University in partnership with state officials, highlighted agriculture’s vital role in the state’s economy and the growing importance of value-added processing facilities, including new soybean plants in Spiritwood and Casselton. Gov. Kelly Armstrong emphasized the state’s commitment to expanding agricultural processing capabilities, while Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring praised the industry’s innovation. The report was funded by twelve major agricultural associations across the state.
