Gas prices are continuing to rise in North Dakota.

The average price in the state is now $2.98 according to AAA, up 15 cents from last month. Diesel prices are also up 15 cents month-over-month, now at an average of $3.58. The average price nationally is $3.16 for unleaded and $3.67 for diesel.

This reverses typical February trends of declining fuel prices nationally. Economists point to the tariffs in affect, specifically on Canadian and Mexican crude imports, that is partially driving the increase.
