On a special broadcast that aired on Saturday (February 15), Willie Nelson marked the 50th anniversary of Austin City Limits by performing an emotional rendition of his iconic song “Always on My Mind.” The country legend added to his legacy as the artist with the most appearances on the show, including the debut pilot taping back in 1974. Nelson returned to Texas to headline the celebratory event at Austin’s Long Center for the Performing Arts back on October 17th, 2024, and his performance is featured in the ACL Season 50 special that includes hits like “On the Road Again” and “Help Me Make It Through the Night.” The 91-year-old musician has a busy summer ahead of him, joining the star-studded “Outlaw Music Festival Tour” alongside Bob Dylan and a rotating lineup including Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, The Avett Brothers, Sheryl Crow, and more.
