A winter storm system is continuing to affect North Dakota through Friday night.

The system intensified in the early morning hours, with a Winter Storm Advisory being issued by the National Weather Service. Some area, especially north of I-94, can expect some hours with multiple inches of snow falling. Temperatures may warm up to slightly above freezing in the early afternoon in southcentral North Dakota.

The snow and sub-freezing temperatures will return through the overnight, with the system expected to pass by tomorrow morning.

We are looking at temperatures in the 50s and 60s over the next few days, which should allow for a full melt and better road conditions during your weekend travels.
