Former North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has put his downtown Fargo penthouse on the market for just under $2 million after joining the Trump administration as Interior Secretary. The luxury three-bedroom penthouse at 300 Broadway N. features two levels, two patios overlooking Broadway, and is located in a building bearing Burgum’s name. Built in 2007 and appraised at $959,800, the property represents Burgum’s connection to downtown Fargo gentrification efforts through his company, Kilbourne Group, which he founded after selling Great Plains Software to Microsoft for $1.1 billion in 2001. Burgum, who served as governor from 2016-2024, maintains another home near Fargo that isn’t for sale.
