Nearly 100 fatal motorcycle crashes occurred in MN and ND last year

There were 17 people killed in fatal motorcycle crashes in North Dakota and 76 killed in Minnesota last year. John Ferholz, the Minnesota chair of American Bikers for Awareness, Training, and Education has been pushing for more bikers to get training as the deadly motorcycle season is upon us. A study conducted in 2022 by the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety showed that 30% of motorcycle drivers involved in deadly crashes did not have a valid motorcycle license. Prevent your untimely death by making sure you have adequate training and muscle memory, so you can address dangerous situations properly, or learn how to avoid them altogether. Ferholz noted that even veteran riders may not know everything in the book, and could benefit from a refresher course. Motorcycle safety classes are available online at the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety website and in North Dakota at VisionZero.ND.gov
