Warrant reveals new details on Moorhead homicide

More details have been revealed in the fatal shooting that occured in Moorhead over the weekend. Jerome Anthony Thomas III, 35, and Abby Nicole Fredrickson, 32, were arrested Monday in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula following Sunday’s fatal drive-by shooting in Moorhead that killed 39-year-old James Earl Hamilton. Police responded to reports of gunshots at 2701 14th Street South, On Sunday at approximately 9:30 a.m., where they found Hamilton with fatal gunshot wounds to the head. A witness identified Thomas as the shooter who fled in a mint green Chevrolet Trax SUV with temporary Indiana plates registered to Fredrickson. Investigators tracked the suspects using OnStar technology and phone data. At Fredrickson’s home, police discovered an empty gun box, matching ammunition, and signs of a hasty departure. Thomas faces second-degree murder and attempted murder charges with up to 40 years in prison if convicted. Fredrickson is charged with aiding an offender. Both await extradition to Minnesota.
