Chris Logan, former UND women’s soccer coach, filed a lawsuit on April 16th claiming he was wrongfully terminated in retaliation for raising gender equity concerns. Logan alleges his contract non-renewal came shortly after participating in a Title IX investigation in November 2024. The lawsuit details specific complaints about substandard facilities at Bronson Field, including inadequate dimensions, safety hazards, limited seating, and unequal access to indoor facilities compared to male athletes. Logan emailed UND administration in March 2024 about these inequities, and in October 2024, the women’s soccer team filed a formal Title IX complaint. The lawsuit claims a UND administrator told another coach that the Title IX complaint influenced the non-renewal decision, though UND previously stated the decision was “made independent of” any internal review. Logan coached at UND for eight seasons with a 51-68-24 record before being hired by Minot State in February this year.
