Severe Summer Weather Awareness Week started on Monday and the Bismarck Emergency Management is asking residents to help test the city’s storm report survey tool.
If you live in Bismarck or the surrounding area, you’re welcome to participate in the “Storm Report Survey Practice Drill” on Wednesday, April 30. The tool is supposed to give members of the community a way to quickly alert the city about any damage caused by a storm. This awareness is meant to help the city determine which recovery efforts are most urgent.
Bismarck Emergency Manager Gary Stocket said that in emergency situations the first step is still to call 9-1-1. City staff is not currently able to provide assistance for using the tool.
