The Minnesota Twins beat the Cleveland Guardians on Monday, 11-1. Minnesota’s offense jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead after just two innings and kept the production throughout the game.
Center fielder Bryon Buxton had two hits and two RBI. Shortstop Carlos Correa also earned two hits and scored, and Eduard Julien and Ryan Jeffers hit home runs. New addition Kody Clemens made a pinch hit appearance and scored a run. On the mound, starter Bailey Ober pitched 7.2 innings, allowing just one run on eight hits.
The Twins continue the series against the Guardians in Ohio Tuesday at 5:10 p.m.
