
A bus carrying 21 Hankinson High School students experienced a front tire blowout on Interstate 94 at mile marker 233 east of Medina on Saturday. The eastbound bus crossed the median, traveled across westbound lanes, and ended up in a ditch after breaking through a fence on the interstate’s north side. Five people were transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center with minor injuries following the 4:47 p.m. accident. Emergency responders included Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, North Dakota Highway Patrol, Medina Fire and Rescue, and ambulance services from both Medina and Jamestown.
