During this past weekend’s Red Flag warning, North Dakota firefighters responded to 60 fire starts due to hot and windy conditions. 1,100 acres of land burned, in addition to the ongoing Turtle Mountain fire which saw two additional grass fires among the fire complex that has already consumed 3,600 acres.  A 500 acre blaze in Glen Ullin, a 125 acre field fire northeast of McClusky, and a fire southwest of Sherwood that burned an outbuilding were the most significant burns this weekend.
