The Minnesota Twins’ hot streak of 13 straight games came to an end on Sunday Afternoon losing the series finale against the Milwaukee Brewers 5-2, but taking the series 2-1.
The Twins set the record for most scoreless innings in franchise history on Saturday Night defeating the Brewers 7-0 with 33 scoreless innings and continued the streak into Sunday for one more inning before allowing a run scored in the Second. Marking 34 innings without giving up a run.
The Twins streak of wins also came to an end after Royce Lewis was robbed of a second home run of the day by Milwaukee Outfielder Jackson Chourio, a robbery Lewis felt could’ve turned the tide in the game and possibly get a 14th straight win.
Despite the loss, the Twins dropped to 26-21 on the season, but during the streak shot up to second place in the Al Central setting up the team to play some more meaningful games compared to when the team took the field in late March.
The Twins will have a good test to see if they can contend with the rest of the AL Central tonight when they will play host to the Cleveland Guardians who sit in 3rd in the AL Central with a record of 25-21.
4-1 Bailey Ober is set to take on 2-2 Logan Allen with first pitch at 6:40 tonight.
