Jamestown Police have begun an investigation into a man found dead Tuesday morning in the bottom of an apartment building stairwell. Police say they were called just after 9am to the building located at the 200 block of 1st Avenue South after the property owner found the man. Officials determined that he had been dead for several hours. The release says the man was of Caucasian or American Indian descent and between 25 and 40 years old. He’s between 165-180 pounds and 5’10”, with black hair and a scruffy black beard. He was found wearing multi-colored Converse shoes. He had no identification on him but did have tattoos on his left arm, left chest, left abdomen, and left shoulder. Police say the death does not seem to be suspicious, but the investigation is ongoing.
