The North Dakota Highway Patrol warns residents about scammers impersonating the Patrol or Troopers Association. Remember that the NDHP will never solicit funds by phone.
These fraudulent calls display “701” area codes and may show “N Dakota Chapt” on caller ID to seem authentic.
If you receive such a call, hang up right away. If you’ve already shared financial information, contact your bank immediately.
