The Jamestown Sun reports that the Jamestown area will observe Memorial Day on Monday, May 26 with multiple ceremonies. The main program begins at 9 AM at Shady’s in the Gladstone Inn & Suites featuring speaker Matthew Motschenbacher. Afterward, there will be a naval ceremony with 21-gun salute at Nickeus Park bridge, followed by simultaneous ceremonies at local cemeteries. The final program will be at the Veterans’ Memorial Wall at Fort Seward at 11 AM. A freewill donation lunch will be served at the All Vets Club afterward. The events are sponsored by the Jamestown Patriotic Council, which includes representatives from various veterans’ organizations.
