North Dakota state lawmakers are making preparations for a special legislative session.
Leaders in the state Senate drafted plans for the special session, which they say would focus on state employee compensation, combating homelessness, and construction approvals. The session would also likely handle the mistaken attempted line-item veto by Governor Kelly Armstrong last month.
The legislature was in session this year for 74 of the 80 maximum days as allotted by the state constitution. If Governor Armstrong calls the special session, it would not count towards the constitutional maximum.
