Man Pleads Guilty, Sentenced for Assaulting North Dakota Highway Patrol Officer

A 44-year-old Moorhead man was sentenced yesterday for assaulting a North Dakota Highway Patrol officer and other charges.

Oscar Lee Jr. was charged with DUI testing refusal, felony resisting arrest, driving under suspension, and terrorizing during a December 19, 2024 incident.  Lee Jr. initial pleaded not guilty, but he accepted a plea deal where the terrorizing and driving under suspension charges were dropped while he pleaded guilty to the other charges.

Lee Jr. was sentenced to two years in jail, followed by two years of supervised probation.  He will receive credit for 168 days served.
