A 71-year-old motorcyclist from Gardner died Saturday afternoon in a crash near Killdeer in western North Dakota.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports the man was riding a 2010 Harley Davidson on Highway 22 around 1:15 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and overturned near mile marker 123, north of Killdeer.
Despite wearing a helmet, the motorcyclist died from his injuries. The Killdeer Area Ambulance, Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, and West Dunn Fire Department responded to the scene.
The Highway Patrol continues investigating the crash. Killdeer is located about 35 miles north of Dickinson in Dunn County.
