QB Aaron Rodgers to join Pittsburgh Steelers

After an offseason of wondering and questions, Aaron Rodgers has found a new home.

Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers agreed to a one-year deal, which is to be signed today (Friday) in time for Rodgers to join the teams mini camp to get familiar with the teams offense and personnel.

Rodgers spent the last two seasons with the New York Jets, his first year with the team ending in four plays after tearing his Achilles. And the second year going 5-12 during a year which the team fired its head coach, its general manager, and Rodgers’ play caller all within a couple of weeks.

Rodgers will look to get another fresh start with the Steelers, who for the last couple of years have been a quarterback away from being a contender in the AFC North. The Steelers feature a really good defense, but the offense has been an issue for ongoing years. Can Rodgers finally be the one to get the Steelers out of their slump of being bounced in the Wild Card round? Or will this just be another pitstop in the career of Aaron Rodgers before he finally decides to hang it up?

Another key part of Rodgers’ and the Steelers season will be Week 8, when Rodgers will finally take on the team that drafted him, won a super bowl for, and made him a legend, the Green Bay Packers. The Steelers will host the Packers on Sunday Night Football with all eyes watching on the former teacher taking on the apprentice in Green Bay’s Jordan Love, who the Packers traded up for a drafted to replace Rodgers in 2020. .
