Fargo man charged with felony stalking after hiding tracker in woman’s car

Valley News Live reports that a Fargo man, Matthew Nystrom, is charged with felony stalking after allegedly placing a tracking device in a woman’s car. The victim contacted police June 2nd, reporting that Nystrom had violated a protection order by driving past her home on May 27th and 28th. She discovered an “N-Tag” tracking device hidden under her driver’s seat after receiving a phone notification that she was being followed while driving home from work. When questioned by police on June 5th, Nystrom admitted to placing the tracker in her unlocked car, claiming he wanted to avoid “running into her,” and also admitted to the protection order violations.
