Two parents in Antler, North Dakota are facing child neglect charges after allegedly leaving their young son home to watch even younger children.
Bottineau County prosecutors have charged Jared Jones and Haley Jones after they say they learned through multiple investigations that they were leaving their 10-year-old son at home to watch two other children, ages 4 and 1. The older child was reportedly missing school during this time.
Investigators also learned that Jared Jones had an arrest warrant out in Stark County for failure to appear and possession of marijuana.
Both parents have been charged with felony child neglect in Bottineau County.
The Northern Prairie Human Services Zone are helping facilitate relatives caring for the children.
