The Fargo City Commission has unanimously named a new Fire Chief. The Commission appointed Gary Lorenz to the post.
Lorenz is currently the Grand Forks Fire Chief. He replaces Steve Dirksen who retired in May after a 36 year career, and 14 as Fargo’s Fire Chief.
Lorenz will officially take the position at a swearing-in ceremony in July.
