Thousands of people in North Dakota attended “No Kings” protests across the state on Saturday.   Organized protests took place in eight cities, including Jamestown, Grand Forks, Dickinson, and Devil’s Lake.

Nearly 2,000 people gathered outside the state capitol in Bismarck. The largest reported crowd was in Fargo where nearly 3,000 were reportedly in attendance.  Valley City also had a small “No Kings” contingent marching in their Community Days parade.

There were no reported arrests in the state as the protests remained peaceful.

The events were part of the national “No Kings” protests on Saturday that saw an estimated 4-6 million rally across the country.

The protests coincided with the Trump Administration’s military parade in Washington D.C. that the administration said honored his birthday and the 250th Anniversary of the U.S. Army.

Local officials there estimated total crowds between 5,000-10,000 people in attendance.  The Trump administration disputed that and claimed 250,000 people attended.
