Minot has a new Police Chief.
The City Council approved the hiring of Michael Frye to the position he will officially take in mid-July. Frye previously served as the police chief at Bismarck State College and a lieutenant with the Minneapolis Police Department.
He replaces John Klug, who agreed to a separation settlement with the city following an external investigation into sexual harassment claims.
The city council also approved hiring Dale Plessas as Frye’s Deputy Chief of Police.
