The latest USDA Crop Progress report shows mixed conditions for key U.S. crops.
Corn emergence is nearly complete at 94%, with 72% rated in good-to-excellent condition. Soybeans are 93% planted and 84% emerged, but their good-to-excellent rating dropped to 66%, down 2 points.
Winter wheat harvest is progressing slowly, with only 10% complete compared to 25% at this time last year. Meanwhile, spring wheat shows improvement, with 57% rated good-to-excellent, up from 53% the week prior.
Weather will continue to play a major role in crop development in the coming week. An active pattern of storms and systems is expected to bring varied rainfall across key regions.
