On Monday (June 23), Dolly Parton surprised fans by announcing a rare six-concert residency titled, Dolly: Live in Las Vegas, which will take place at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace this winter. The highly anticipated mini-residency will run from December 4 to December 13, and is set to coincide with the National Finals Rodeo. “To say I’m excited would be an understatement,” the 79-year-old Parton said in a statement. “I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there. I’m looking so forward to the shows in The Colosseum at Caesars and I hope you are as well. See you there.” Parton’s previous Vegas residency was a successful run at the Mirage in the early ’90s, where she performed nearly 50 shows. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday (June 25) at 10 a.m. PT, with VIP packages available which “may include a personal photo op with Dolly herself, an onstage tour, access to Dolly’s Rhinestone Lounge, a deluxe gift set and more.” (Variety)
