By Ryan King Jun 26, 2025 | 7:56 AM

North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has announced that the annual Project Safe Send collections will take place at 12 locations throughout the state this July.

The program allows farmers, ranchers, pesticide applicators, and the general public to safely dispose of old, unusable, or banned pesticides free of charge.

Participants can bring up to 5,000 pounds of pesticides, with pre-registration required only for those exceeding 1,000 pounds. The North Dakota Department of Agriculture also provides heavy-duty plastic bags for leaking containers. Collections will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at Department of Transportation sites in various cities.
