Officials Urging Farms and Ranches to Report Damages

By Ryan King Jun 30, 2025 | 8:05 AM

NDSU Extension and the North Dakota Department of Agriculture are asking farmers and ranchers impacted by the June 2025 storms to fill out an online assessment tool to report agricultural losses.

The form gathers details about damage to homes, outbuildings, crop storage, equipment, shelterbelts, forage, crops, and livestock. The information will help state agencies assess the extent of the damage and identify gaps in federal assistance, guiding future recovery support. Farmers can also contact their local Extension office to report damage directly.

Livestock injuries and debris in pastures are also concerns. Officials emphasized the importance of reporting damage to help guide aid efforts and encouraged producers to take advantage of available mental health resources during what was called a highly stressful time.
