By Payton Gall Jul 1, 2025 | 4:23 PM

Following severe storms last month, North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong announced a new program on Tuesday to help farmers with urgent grain storage needs and damaged farm assets. Starting July 9, the Grain Storage and Facility Rebuilder Program offers low-interest loans up to $150,000 for temporary storage, and assistance for repairs, administered by the Bank of North Dakota. The program, funded by up to $37 million from the state’s emergency fund, aims to provide quick, flexible relief. Farmers can apply through their bankers, and more information is available at bnd.nd.gov/gsfr.
