U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins announced that Namibia will now accept fresh, frozen, and chilled poultry exports from the United States beginning July 1, opening a market valued at $15 million.
The move removes previous restrictions and affirms Namibia’s recognition of USDA’s food safety standards. The USDA also secured the elimination of export and transit permit requirements for processed poultry, further easing trade barriers.
Secretary Rollins credited President Trump’s trade agenda for expanding global markets and reversing trade deficits that worsened under the previous administration. She emphasized the administration’s commitment to opening new export opportunities and promoting U.S. agriculture abroad.
