The University of Jamestown has appointed two new vice presidents for academic affairs. Dr. Kristin Lefebvre becomes VP and Dean of Graduate Faculty effective July 1st, while Dr. Michelle Solensky takes the VP and Dean of Undergraduate Faculty role starting July 7th.
Lefebvre will oversee the university’s rapidly expanding graduate programs, which have grown from 42 students in 2013 to a projected 403 students across 10 programs by fall 2025. She previously founded UJ’s clinical research Ph.D. program, the world’s only fully-online program. “Dr. Lefebvre is visionary and dynamic, and I have no doubt that she will build upon the foundation we have established for graduate studies at UJ,” said Paul J. Olson, Executive Vice President. Solensky, a 16-year UJ biology faculty member and former honors program director, was selected after a nationwide search to lead undergraduate academics. “After conducting an extensive nationwide search, we decided that the best candidate for the position was in our backyard,” Olson said in a press release. Both appointments support the university’s strategic growth plan.
