North Dakota Country Fest begins today in New Salem. Luke Schafer, the founder and owner of the festival, has been keeping KSJB updated with the set-up and preparation that Salem Sue has been watching over for the past weeks. The festival is essentially a small town filled with campers and tents, and people gathered around state-of-the-art stages while enjoying all the food and drinks NDCF has to offer. Main Street at the festival is stocked with dozens of food and craft vendors, and the Main and Second stages provide the music, and DJ DU keeps the party going all night. Today, Out of Line and Own Riegling will perform, then it’s Sara Evans as the headliner. The festival goes until Saturday, and each day has a theme—today’s is Give Back Night, each attendee gets free entry, with suggested $20 donation benefitting Morton County FFA and 4H.
