The North Dakota Department of Transportation will begin Phase 2 of the US 52/US 281 highway improvement project in Jamestown next week. Phase two will begin Monday, July 14th is expected to wrap up August 15th. This phase focuses on outside lanes and right-turn lanes from 37th Street SE to 17th Street SW, including concrete pavement repairs and ADA-compliant pedestrian ramp upgrades. These lanes will be closed during construction. Traffic will be heavily impacted starting Tuesday, July 15th, with a 7-day closure of the I-94 westbound on-ramp and eastbound off-ramp at Exit 258 for concrete repairs. During the ramp closure, eastbound I-94 motorists should use Exit 260 to turn around and access US 52/US 281 via Exit 258. Traffic wanting to travel westbound on I-94 from US 52/US 281 will need to use eastbound I-94 to Exit 260, then turn around to head west.
