The Stutsman County Fair has been awarded $100,000 from the state to construct new restroom facilities, part of a statewide initiative supporting county fair infrastructure.

Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring announced 23 grants totaling $1.5 million to county agriculture fair associations across North Dakota. The grants, created by the 69th Legislative Assembly, help fairs upgrade facilities that serve as community gathering places for 4-H, FFA, and agricultural education.

“County fairs serve an important role in teaching about agriculture and need facilities to do so,” Goehring said. “These grants will assist our county fairs so they can continue to serve as the fabric of their communities.”

The Stutsman County Fair was among the maximum recipients, receiving the full $100,000 allowed under the program.
