Ellendale’s Safety Night Combines Bike Safety Education with Community First Responder Meet-and-Greet

Dickey County Health District is working with local law enforcement partners and community organizations to put on a Safety Night, a party at the South Park in Ellendale. This event includes a bike rodeo to promote bike safety, all while allowing the community a chance to connect with their local first responders. This event has garnered a lot of community support; Roxanne Holm from Dickey County Health District says the goal is to “make our kids safe, provide them with safe community, [and] meet who actually is working in the organization.” The bike rodeo kicks off at 3:30 and continues into Safety Night, Party in the Park, and Car Seat event. Youth will be able to learn about safety directly from our local heroes, have a complimentary meal, and have a chance to win one of at least 10 bikes that have been donated by local organizations.
