The Trump administration has delayed the start of a new round of tariffs until August 1, giving more time for trade negotiations.
Initially set to take effect July 9 after a 90-day delay, the tariffs will now move forward regardless of whether deals are reached. Countries like Cambodia, Laos, and Bosnia saw tariff reductions, while Japan and Malaysia faced slight increases. Meanwhile, 14 nations received official notices
Only two countries — the United Kingdom and Vietnam — have finalized new trade agreements with the U.S., though the UK deal does not include tariff reductions. Talks with China remain separate, with a current pause on tariff hikes through mid-August as negotiations continue in Geneva.
