North Dakota’s measles count rose by one case on Tuesday, bringing the state’s 2025 total to 36 confirmed infections.
The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services’ measles tracking system shows Williams County now accounts for 18 of those cases. Limited information is available about the newest patient, though dashboard notes indicate health officials received the diagnosis report after the individual had already completed their isolation period.
This marks only the second measles case documented statewide in over a month. The timing is notable given that state health authorities declared the North Dakota outbreak concluded just one day earlier on Monday.
Health officials continue to emphasize that the MMR vaccine remains the most effective protection against measles infection.
